Nice Côte d'Azur awards Alstef Group a baggage system upgrade - Alstef Group

Alstef Group has been selected by Nice Côte d’Azur Airport handle the renovation of the baggage handling system for T2.1

Nice Côte d’Azur Airport has entrusted Alstef Group to renovate the check-in, and reclaim areas of its 2.1 Terminal. It will be equipped with 32 check-in counters and three reclaim carousels (IATA standard) and one out of gauge format line. The modernization of the baggage handling system also includes furniture, display suspensions, screens, access control, and some finishing works.

A longstanding partnership

Nice Côte d’Azur airport and Alstef Group began their collaboration ten years ago with the installation of the baggage handling system (BHS) for Terminal 1. Alstef Group‘s support team presently handles maintenance of the existing Terminal 1 BHS and is also upgrading the Terminal 2.2 (Standard 3 upgrades as well as some modernizations).

Nice Côte d’Azur airport, third busiest French airport

Nice Côte d’Azur airport is a French International airport situated in the South of France. It was built on an area partially reclaimed from the sea. In terms of commercial passenger traffic, it ranks third among French airports, after Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle and Paris-Orly. Despite its seasonal traffic, it reached 14,5 millions of passengers in 2019. The project schedule is based on six months of phased site work to ensure terminal operations are maintained throughout the install. Commissioning is planned for March 2023.
