The Challenge
As passenger numbers continue to grow across India's aviation sector, Gwalior Airport required a modern baggage handling solution capable of improving operational efficiency, enhancing security screening capability and delivering a smoother passenger experience.
The airport needed a system that would support both departing and arriving passengers while providing long-term operational reliability and maintainability.

The Solution
Alstef Group designed and delivered a complete baggage handling upgrade incorporating modern baggage screening, outbound processing and arrivals infrastructure.
The outbound system includes 16 check-in counters, a Level 1 CT-EDS X-ray screening machine and a destination make-up carousel to support efficient baggage processing and security compliance. The arrivals system features three inclined baggage reclaim carousels designed to improve baggage delivery and passenger convenience.
Project Outcome
The upgraded baggage handling system provides Gwalior Airport with modern baggage processing infrastructure that enhances operational efficiency, strengthens security screening capability and improves the passenger experience.
